Update
My poem "Transformation" is in Issue Fifteen of Mythic Delirium. It's a bit different from much of my work. It was inspired by my time in the rainforest of Peru. My poem "Gothic" is online at Aoife's Kiss, and my poem "The Second Wake" is in their December print issue. Don't forget to vote for your favorites online.
This year has been a rough one for me, with various health and personal problems. My writing has suffered from it. However, I recently got a laptop and can once again work on the computer. :) I have a lot of ideas jotted down, a lot of experiences and images to write about, and I'm getting started again. I may have to have surgery soon, but I'm definitely getting back into the writing habit. I've missed it. I find that when I go without writing the words are still in my head, the emotions building up and the images overlapping, but they no longer flow from my mind to paper. Writing is always difficult, but when I'm out of practice it clogs up the machinery.
For starters, I have a lot of ideas to write about my trip to the desert, and all the urban exploration I've done, along with various other things. I feel that my writing needs to expand into different directions. It has already begun, and I've been pleased with the results. I imagine my work will probably always have a dark slant, but I fear that my work could become repetitive. A lot of my work has been raw pain, and I like that people react to it. Whether it's a positive or negative reaction, as long as it makes them feel something, as long as they can glimpse the visions in my world, I am satisfied. But there is so much more that I need to share.
My life will probably always be in some state of turmoil, so I can't let it delay me.
I'll probably be moving my blog soon, perhaps to (gasp!) myspace. Yes, I too am a drone. ;) However, myspace gets a lot of traffic, and I could use the exposure. I'll be sure to let you know.
In the meantime, I hope everyone has an excellent holiday. I'm off to start decorating. :)
